Family

First off, let me just tell you that my cousin Kaelee rocks! She took some great pics when we came to visit them this weekend. Go check out her blog...www.kaelee-denise.blogspot.com

My aunt and her family are here for the Thanksgiving holiday. Unfortunately I am working and can't get up there for the day of. But my grandma's 80th party was on Sunday so we got to see everyone (except Samantha). It was great to spend time with family!

Here are some shots that Kaelee got for me!

Kaitlin's Birthday

Kaitlin had a great birthday this year. She celebrated Weds. thru Sat.
She is the richest 9 year old that I know! She thanks everybody for everything!

I got a couple family pics while me family was here out of town.

The girls with my mom:

My little brothers and me (I know, not so little, huh?)

And my Grandma and I (who will be 80 in one week!....happy birthday grandma!):

Beautiful Erin!

Here is a picture of a friend of mine's daughter...I have been promising to take pics of her kids. I took this one for her while she was here with us this weekend. She has the reddest hair and bluest eyes....but I liked it better in B&W.

One PROUD Momma here!

We had conferences with the girls' teachers today. Brittany's was first and her teacher had nothing but great things to say about her. She is trucking ahead and making GREAT progress.

Kaitlin's conference was WONDERFUL. We sat down and the teacher said immediately "This won't take long"

STRAIGHT A's!!!!

I couldn't be happier!

Our little twins!

Everyone keeps telling me how much Kaitlin looks like me and how much Brittany looks like Robbie. I thought I would post a couple pictures to show everyone just how much they do.
They sure are our little look alikes!

A Pirate and Super Girl!

I took the girls to a small Trunk or Treat up at the High School tonight. The high schoolers put it on and they did a great job! The girls were particularly excited about the fact that they will be going there one day.

We are taking them to another trunk or treat Friday too! Lots of Halloween activities this year.

Denver Downs and Pumpkin Carving

We had a WONDERFUL day yesterday. The other day at work, a couple of co-workers told me about this farm that is packed FULL of fun. On a last minute decision, we decided to go. It is $8 to get in and totally worth it! There are 3 maizes, a hay ride, climbing goat feedings, duck races, rope swinging (into a HUGE pile of hay), corn cannon, jump house, football throwing, food and drinks! Here are a few pics of our day there....

After Denver Downs, we headed back home for dinner, a game of Clue and Pumpkin Carving! The girls loved tearing the insides out! I saved the seeds and tried toasting them....they turned out OK.

This week I think we will hit a couple Trunk or Treats! Kaitlin is going to be a pirate and Brittany is going to be Super Girl! We LOVE Halloween at our house!

Adding a few more to my collection..

..of hair bows. I went to Hobby Lobby and they were having a 50% off sale on ribbon! What better time to get started on making hair bows than when your main item is half off?!?! I still have a lot to learn. It was very frustrating for me and very tedious.

Monday is Robbie and my 7th anniversary. We are celebrating tonight with dinner and not sure what else yet. We are going to try out a new Bistro that opened up right down the road from us. I cant believe that it has been 7 years already but it really does feel a whole lot longer than that. We have been through soooo much together!

Well, look for more hair bows soon and as SOON as I make the "perfect" one it will be up for RAKing!

Thanks for stopping by!

A new obsession (RAK coming soon!)

I have been REALLY wanting to try my hand at making hair bows. Since Halloween is coming AND it is my FAVORITE holiday, I decided now is the best time. I am actually pretty happy with my FIRST one! It was made with a couple cheap ribbons from Walmart. I am in the process right now of making one with Cloud 9 ribbon from the Happy Halloween Quintet. If I am happy with the results........there may be a RAK involved if you like them!

Well, here is it.......

Halloween ATC

This is for a swap on a site that I frequent. Ok, now, as crazy it may sound, I actually love to hand cut everything out. Yeah, I felt like pulling my hair out after the 5th one. But it is a great feeling of accomplishment once they were done.

Halloween is my absolute FAVORITE holiday! I hope I can get some more Halloween projects in before it gets here!

Blog Candy for a GREAT cause...

I came across Cammie's blog as I was playing on the internet this morning. She has come up with the ultimate prize that is all in support of a GREAT cause!

The cause is for Alzheimer patients and in particular; the caregivers of these patients.

Being a professional in the medical field and having the once in a blue moon opportunity to work with an Alzheimer patient, I truly repect the people that dedicate their time and patience to these people. I whole heartedly support what she is doing!

Go check out her blog and enter to win!

Here is a card that I made....it was sort of quick but I know the PERFECT person to give it to and I am hoping that I see her at work tonight.

The person I am giving it to is a Nursing Assistant and she is so awesome with her patients. She even volunteers to come in on days that the hospital is short staffed. She is always willing to help me out when I need it and she deserves a BIG thanks!

Playing around a bit

I have been playing around with my camera a little bit. I am desperately wanting a newer and better one. I have finally decided that I am going to take classes for photography. For now, here are a couple new pictures that I have taken of the girls.

OK, so I have decided to jump aboard with every other blogger out there. I have tons of projects to share but it will take me a while to take pictures and upload my favorites. Hopefully I will be able to keep up with it. Keep tuned in because I just might have some blog candy to share soon!
